SOLAR CHECK: IS YOUR SYSTEM DUE FOR A MAINTENANCE?

One of the most pleasing benefits of solar energy systems is that they require less maintenance compared to other renewable energy sources. They do not have any moving parts and can be completely independent to function on their own. However, as time flies, you also need to be aware on whether your solar is functioning to its maximum capacity. One way to ensure this is to schedule your solar power system for routine inspection and maintenance at least once a year.

Your solar system will send you signals

Noticed an increase in your monthly electric bill even though you are using the same daytime appliances ever since? You may want to check if your solar panels have accumulated dirt over time. There are a lot of environmental and external factors that may affect a PV system’s performance such as dust accumulation, soiling, or bird deposits that we cannot really avoid. Prolonged dirt accumulation, rain, and the Philippines’ hot and humid weather may cause cementing. Cleaning your solar panels is very easy and anyone can do it as long as you observe the proper safety procedures. With soap and running water, you can easily remove any accumulated dirt from the surface. Avoid using harsh cleaners and pointed objects to remove debris to avoid permanent damages.
