What is anion in air purifiers?
Anions are negatively charged ions. An air ionizer (or negative ion generator) ionizes (or electrically charges) air molecules. Air ionizers are used in our AirSAFE units to remove particles from the air. By electrically charging air molecules, the anion feature produces and releases negative ion in the air. These ions will stick to larger particles (which can still be naked to a human eye), band together, causing it to get bigger in size, making it easier for the air purifier to detect and filter the surrounding air.
How the AirSAFE works
With its powerful NIDEC motor and high clean air delivery rate (CADR), the AirSAFE uses these advantages to speed up the ionization process and direct the particles faster in the unit. When combined with the carbon, cold catalyst, HEPA filter and the internal UV light, the absorbed air is thoroughly filtered of unpleasant odors, volatile organic compound (VOCs), and harmful air pollutants and organisms.
