THE SOLARIC SYSTEM: 3 THINGS YOU DON’T REALIZE UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY TURN ON THE SUN

The Solaric System

In 2013, Lito Mercado took a risk. He made a wise investment, turned on the sun, and switched on his newly-installed Solaric Roof, with the latest solar system in the Philippines, in their house in an exclusive gated subdivision in Makati, Philippines.

What’s it like to have solar?

“Well it has been absolutely worth it,” Lito tell Solar Digital Squad. “If you have the finances to make the investment, then do it now. The ROI (return on investment) makes sense. We help save the environment. We spend less. We save more. We have everything to gain and nothing to lose. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it all over again.”

Mercado and his family have always wanted to go solar. Unfortunately, the roof type on their house meant that no solar suppliers would install panels on top of them due to quality and type. In 2013, after yet another round of quotes and site visits, they decided to renovate and replace their roof.

Solaric benefits

“The thing with solar is that the power is generated from the sun. Thanks to all these advances in technology today, we can now actually use the sun to our advantage. We can harness the solar energy and use it to power our homes and businesses!” he exclaims.

Here are three things that Lito learned after installing Solaric and turning on the sun for his house.

  • Protect the planet

Compared to other energy sources, solar energy is the renewable with no negative impact to the environment. No greenhouse and no pollution. Going solar means protecting our planet because it’s green, clean and renewable. The typical residential solar power system eliminates an average of three tons of carbon emissions annually, which is equivalent to planting 100 trees each year.

  • Reduce the electric bill

“As a homeowner, I experienced a lower electric bill. This translated to more savings,” added Lito.

Generating your own power as a homeowner means that you will be using less power from the electricity provider. This means lower monthly electric bills. Additionally, through the Net Metering Program, you can also sell your unused electricity that you have generated. Most homeowners with Solaric sell their excess power to the utility company. In doing this, the homeowner becomes a producer AND a consumer (this is the ultimate secret to reducing, if not eliminating, those power bills).

  • Increased home value

Solaric homes have higher property values. As more people are educated on solar, the demand for solar increases exponentially. A home that produces power and has its own solar power system has increased home value. Even a standard 5-kilowatt Solaric PV system means that there is added resale value to your house.

“I didn’t realize that my investment in Solaric would be so rewarding!” exclaimed Lito Mercado, while pointing to the signature sunlight switch logo of Solaric.
