This 2015 we may very well see a repeat of the 90’s power crisis -forecasted daily rotating brownouts just like in Mindanao. We can point fingers whom to blame why we are going to run out of power this coming summer but if you don’t act, don’t be cursing the darkness in want of an electric fan. We normally espouse Grid tie as the most economical or straightforward system, but grid tie does not work during brownouts. Our permanent solution to end our country’s power crisis, is the H.O.G. system. Solaric HOG is not some porcine beast but a Hybrid Off Grid system that will not only lower your electric bill, but will also keep you powered during blackouts. It will use solar before Meralco, store any excess power in the batteries, and then run the batts down till 50%, and charge from Meralco only if needed. It will make sure your lights stay on no matter what. It is simply our “bawal brownout” system with quality parts and automated switching simplicity. Our engineers were hard at work last 2014 and came up with the HOG, they even made it big enough to power welding machines and yes even your puny aircon if you want. We used it for big jobs in a power nightmare scenario called Post Yolanda Tacloban. It is a solar power system that uses Meralco only when it has to (ie batteries are 50% or less or if Solar and battery is not enough) HOG will dramatically extend life of batteries over brainless Off grid, since it keeps batteries from getting over drained – it switches over to Meralco whenever the batteries are low.
